The more you see something, the more normal it becomes. Google unveiled a new logo and branding. This makes the reaction of public in mixed bug.
Of course, people don’t like change. But then the surprise wears off and what changed becomes the new normal.

“Google has changed a lot over the past 17 years –
from the range of our products to the evolution of their look and feel. And  today we’re changing things up once again,” the company said in a blogpost.

When’s the last time that a Googler actually thought about its favicon?

The company said the redesign was meant to reflect the way that people interact with Google products across many different platforms, apps and devices.

Google's interpretations of this logo, though, are magical -- in the sense of culled from a fine children's book.

In Google's words: The new look "doesn't simply tell you that you're using Google, but also shows you how Google is working for you. For example, new elements like a colorful Google mic help you identify and interact with Google whether you're talking, tapping or typing."

All in all, this is a safe corporate rebrand that Google didn’t need to make. The logo is more appealing, but a design that is so on-trend has a limited shelf-life. The Google Dots however, are a great addition that will be built into everything Google do, and will be around for years to come.
